Audio Podcast Plan

Final Project - due 3pm 8 December

worth 9 points Instead of a final paper, you will be producing a short (~10 minute) podcast. The format is similar to a final paper, you will be expanding on a topic we discussed in class. You need to be the main creative producer of the podcast. You do not need to be the only one talking. For example, you might interview fellow students about a particular topic. I am looking for both quality content and quality production values. You are to submit a 150 word abstract/proposal to our section blog by class time on 19 November. Your podcast itself is to be submitted to your team's podcast site. You need to be knowledgeable about the mechanics of how to post before our last class meeting on 3 December as there will be no one to assist you afterwards. If there is a technical problem with uploading to your teams site, you should create your own account on podbean or a similar site, and upload your podcast. Once your podcast is uploaded you should create a short blog entry giving a description of your podcast and a link to it.

Special Blog Post this week

Instead of the usual blog post this week, I am asking people to listen to one audio podcast and write a blog post about it. The restrictions are that it must be a podcast not produced by a large media company. For example, I don't want to hear about podcasts by HBO or NPR. I am looking for podcasts that fit with the RW view of the web. You can find podcast at the iTunes store under podcasts. The vast majority of podcasts are free.
