ignite Presentations

5 minute presentations accompanied by 20 slides set to auto advance every 15 seconds.

This blog entry on how to give a successful ignite presentation may be helpful (although contrary to that advice, don't assume your audience will be drunk.)

I want pairs of people to present. There should not be a duplicate of topics.

The topics can be anything related to operating systems. Possibilities include:

• something from the Defcon hackers convention that is somewhat OS related. http://www.defcon.org
• details of ZFS
• Windows 7 User Mode Scheduler (video on this @ Microsoft site.)
• Google File System (http://labs.google.com/papers/gfs.html)
• XP virtualization in Windows 7 (How it works. Why it only works on some hardware)
• Mac OS boot process -- use of BIOS and EFI
